Special Health Care Needs
As pediatric dental specialists, Dr. Polly and Dr. Ursula have a great deal of experience treating children and young adults with special health care needs.
Children with special health care needs require additional expertise. Knowledge about your child’s medical or behavioral condition is crucial to treating each child at the dentist. Fully understanding your child’s medications and allergies is also important. Every child is different. Every medical condition is different. And some patients may require extra time, specific times of the day, or extra attention during their visit to our office. Dr. Polly and Dr. Ursula will use their knowledge and expertise to create a personalized plan for how to introduce your child to the dental setting and how to treat them for years to come!
Please be sure to inform our staff of any special health care needs your child may have prior to your first visit to our office. This will help the doctors and staff prepare for your visit.
Pediatric dentists will develop a unique bond with children with special health care needs, so some of them remain in our dental practice into their early-adult years! When the doctor and caregivers decide that it may be time to move on to another dental practitioner, our office assists you in finding a new dental home.
