Meet Dr. Polly Iben

Dr. Polly Iben is an Iowa native and has lived in the Iowa City/Coralville area since 1980. She studied Health Science and Communications at the University of Iowa where she received her BA in 1984.  Dr. Polly worked as a current affairs producer and on-air announcer at WSUI, public radio in Iowa City from 1983-1993.  She then decided to persue her passion for health sciences and received her DDS degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1997.  She then specialized in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Iowa, completing the program in 1999.  

Dr. Polly has been in private practice as a pediatric dentist in Coralville since 1999.  She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an Adjunct Faculty member in the University of Iowa Pediatric Dentistry Department. Dr. Polly is the former President of the Iowa Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Johnson County Dental Society since 2003.  She and her husband have four children and five grandchildren. The Iben’s love sports, music, outdoor activities, travel and scrapbooking.



Dr. Polly was an on-air announcer and producer for WSUI Radio for 10 years.
